I’m literally in tears as I’m writing this
We were taught in school about slavery, how slavery started and ended some years ago, and I’m sure several of us vowed in our hearts not to let history repeat itself.
But here we are again, history has repeated itself, we sit back and watch as some people (white men) play with our destiny.
You see in life, there’s something called jealousy who has an identical twin called envy, where when you see your neighbor has a tendency of prospering you do everything to prevent them from prospering, even if it comes down to killing.
Just take a good look at what is happening in Libya!!
In this day and time, in this century, in this global world, in this world filled with technology and formal education, yet still see what is going on.
Well, as my teacher said, colonialism never ended, we think importing foreign goods into our markets neglecting our locally made ones isn’t part of colonialism? You think looking down on locally made goods and thinking high of foreign made goods isn’t part of colonialism?? Indeed there’s something called new colonialism, and that’s what all these fall under.
We praise their goods to the extent that they give us fake goods and we still buy them, they bring into our markets plastic rice and we still purchase it, they bring plastic eggs, fake hair, weaves from the dead and we still hail them over what we have!!!
What is wrong with us?
They started colonialism,we thought it was over but they brought this new form of colonialism, now look at what is happening in Libya. Little drops of water they say make a mighty ocean! They started with small small trading, now they have started in human trading.... how can we sit down for humans to be sold???
We must do something!! We always complain about the fact that when there are problems in other parts of Africa they never come up with posters saying,” pray for this African country..” yet still when France and Texas and other cities or countries had problems they told us to pray for them... when someone does not care for you, can’t you see it??
Are you waiting to wear glasses first?
We cry about how short sighted our African presidents are, but we do not realize that as a people, we are equally short sighted.
A nation that is divided will never stand, so when a nation has no leader that nation will collapse! They knew that, that is why they turned us against our freedom fighters, Kwame Nkrumah (Ghana), Gaddafi (Libya), Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe), and when they achieve their aim, they come in and take over, just like what’s happening in Libya. No one is perfect, so some of our freedom fighters had their flaws, what these whites did was that they magnified the flaws of the leaders and made it look like the people deserved better, therefore making the people turn against their leader.
I have never been so bitter like this while writing posts, this is heart breaking.
How can you seek help from people who want your downfall??
Africa, sit up, for the race is for the swift and smart.

Tabula Rasa....
Tabula rasa..... I still remember the first time I heard it! My teacher was teaching about something entirely different but he just chipped in this bit, he made me understand that a new born baby's mind is clear... it has no information, in fact it is empty.
Tabula rasa= clean slate, and it is referred to a mind that is not yet affected by experiences.
So let's look at it this way, if Naa was born with a clean slate, without any information, simply put with nothing in her mind, how then did she know she was called Naa?
How then did she respond to the name Naa?
How then did she learn how to spell the name Naa?
How come when she is asked what her name is, she says, "My name is Naa."
You see, when you are born, you are born without any information, you do not know how to talk, you know nothing, so how come you respond to your name?
As you started growing up, your parents made you know your name, they made Naa know her name is Naa, therefore if anyone asked for her name she tells them she is called Naa.
So if you did not know your name, but got to know your name through your parents, and you believed without doubt that that is your name, and that you owned that name, such that you can tell everyone your name, then why don't you believe what God calls you.
If your parents call you Naa ,and you respond to it, why don't you pride in the name God calls you?
God calls you blameless. ( Ephesians 1:4)
God calls you a new creature.( 2 Corinthians 5:17)
God calls you His child and an heir. ( Galatians 4:7)
God calls you His friend.( John 15:13)
God calls you a saint. (1 Corinthians 1:2)
God calls you His love.(John 3:16)
God calls you a citizen of heaven. (Ephesians 5:8)
These are just few of the things God calls you.
So recognize and accept the name God calls you, above all respond to it and see yourself in that light!
Why should circumstances come your way and make you forget who you are? When circumstances come your way, do you forget what your name is? That is the same way you do not have to forget who you are in Christ!
So get up, wash your face and stand tall!
God calls you His own!
So, just as your mind had nothing in it initially till it was filled with information from people, let your mind be also filled with information from God.
