Story, Story!!

Hi everyone,
I will be talking about something really special today... Please stay with me till the end... Thanks in advance 😀😃
I hope you all know the story of the tortoise and the hare... If you don't know, let me tell u...
Story, Story!
There was once a hare and a tortoise who lived in a small village with other animals. The hare was always bragging about how fast he was. The brags weren't in vain though, he really was fast.
Everyone felt they couldn't beat the hare in a race except the tortoise...yes, the tortoise!! I know what you are thinking... Let's continue...
So the tortoise challenged the hare to a race... (I'm sure everyone was thinking this tortoise was not thinking straight, lol, I thought the same way too from the beginning)
The date and time was set for the race...
Let the race begin !!!
So the race begun, and someone was slacking, yup slacking big time!!
The hare passed the tortoise...but the tortoise never gave up...!

So the race went on for some time, and the hare got tired and decided to have a little nap, because after he was racing with a tortoise and obviously he will win, that was the thought of the tortoise...
So he had his nap as planned... The tortoise never gave up and was persistent, thought he was slow he didn't have doubts about winning...he had a positive mind...
So yeah, his positive mindset paid  and he won, before the hare could notice, it was too late....the tortoise was the winner of the race...
Now to the moral lessons:
1. Beat Time...
Don't rest till you get what you want, after all 'time and tide waits for no one', therefore don't wait for a perfect time to pursue your aspirations because there's nothing like a perfect time, before you realize time would have caught up with you and it will be too late. Seize the moment (carpe diem). Be like the tortoise, he never rested till he got what he wanted. Beat Time!
2. Be Persistent
Go for your goal, the sky isn't your limit... Know what you want and chase it...do not look at anyone, cos people can make you forget what u really want... People can make you forget what you really want ... People can also make you feel like giving up on what you really want...Be persistent, be Sure and Steady....
3. Run your race at your pace
Run according to your strength, remember, life is not a race...

I hope you enjoyed this little piece, stay tuned for my next post...
Always remember, be like the tortoise....!

tRiChOpTiLoSiS 😃

Today I have another very interesting topic I want to share with all of you...
Today's topic is trichoptilosis.
Trichoptilosis ( tricho is a Greek word which means hair and ptilon is also a Greek word which means feather) simply means the splitting of hair shaft due to various factors which I will be explaining shortly.
Trichoptilosis is commonly known as split ends.
Now that we know a little about trichoptilosis let me talk a little about our hair.
Hair is a protein filament that grows from follicles in the skin. Hair is really important especially the hair on the head(that's where our focus is).
The outermost layer of the hair is the cuticle. It provides protection to the hair. The cuticle does a lot of work in keeping the hair, like, it gives the hair its shine, it is responsible for the mechanical strength of the hair fiber....etc.
You see, the cuticle is so important so you can imagine what happens when the cuticle is damaged...
There are various ways by which the cuticle gets damaged...:
1. This is especially to Africans or African Americans our hair is not usually straight, it's coiled and curled, it makes it difficult for the natural oil produced by the scalp (sebum) to get to the ends of the hair. So the ends get dry when it's not usually oiled and therefore it gets damaged and splits and forms two or three strands (split ends). These damaged strands can be about three centimeters long and it's gonna look as though have long hair, but it's all split ends...
2. Using too much heat in the hair. The hair gets a lot of heat from the sun, so when u use a lot of heat products in your hair it doesn't help it at all.
3. Using too much chemicals. Please stay away from the usage of excessive chemicals especially shampoo... U can use it but not always...
4. Dyeing your hair regularly isn't so healthy for your hair...
These are the major causes of split ends...  The only solution is to cut those split ends off!!
I know you my might think it's cool to have it there since you do not want to cut it, but split ends will rather damage the hair, you need to let it go.... Because if it doesn't go, your hair is gonna remain the same, it's not gonna grow with ease and it won't grow fast...the split ends is gonna suppress the growth of the hair...averagely it's good to trim your hair once every month, just to get rid of the split ends...it helps, trust me....I used to cut my hair and I can really tell u that I wasn't experiencing hair breakage...
I hope I have explained this topic well enough, if u have any questions or comments please leave them below...

😊😊 Hair, Hair!

Hi everyone,
This blog is specifically gonna be about hair treatment and some other subjects might pop up along the way.
I know how it is when ladies have to treat their hair, it isn't easy, most especially  black ladies who happen to live in very cold areas.
The hair easily breaks, most especially in winter....but it can break in summer as well (depends on how you treat it)
NB: treating your hair has to do with eating well as well...😉
I personally think in order to treat your hair you must first know these things:
* The type of hair you have
* Hair breakage is normal to an extent ( will explain that later)
* Know the kind of products that your hair loves (don't get frustrated if it doesn't like any of the products you have used, there's a product out there for you)
* You must eat well... It's very necessary
* Stop comparing your hair growth with someone's own, it can make you frustrated (if yours isn't as much as hers)
* Everyone's hair grows differently, some more rapid than the others, don't fret if yours is slow, it will surely get there☺️
This will be all for today, I will post soon, stay blessed....
